SEAPA is working diligently to advance new power generation opportunities to serve the growing load demands of the region. SEAPA‘s integrated planning process supports responsible development that will provide the maximum long-term benefit for ratepayers. SEAPA’s projects are referred to as R&Rs - Renewals and Replacements. R&Rs are Capital Projects planned, coordinated, and managed by SEAPA to ensure long-term reliability and availability of hydropower across our interconnected system and range anywhere from a roof repair to expanding the Swan Lake Reservoir.
R&R Projects are typically funded through the 6.8¢ wholesale power rate, but may be supplemented by grants.
